Notes

Ben Cooper was the visionary of Kings Bay Yacht & Country Club and hired Mark Mahana (now known as Mark Mahannah) to design an 18-hole golf course and construction began in 1957.  After many delays, there were 5 playable holes in November 1960 and the front 9 holes opened on January 14, 1961.

Gustav Ring purchased the Kings Bay Yacht & Country Club in January 1962.  The course was closed in the summer of 1962 for course improvements.  The improved front 9 holes reopened in July 1962 and the back 9 holes opened in October 1962.

In 1964, the back 9 holes were improved and at this time, Kings Bay Yacht & Country Club had a layout of 18 holes, par 72, 6834 yards.

By 1986, Kings Bay Yacht & Country Club had a layout of 18 holes, par 72, 6556 yards.

Kings Bay Yacht & Country Club was sold and reopened in 1990 as the Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club.  The golf course was closed as Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay redesigned the golf course with a layout of 18 holes, par 72, 6800 yards and the Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club golf course opened in July 1991.

In 2007, Arnold Palmer performed another renovation of the golf course, and the Deering Bay Yacht & Country Club currently has a layout of 18 holes, par 71, 6503 yeards.
